Heather McGruder To All Instructors

Hello! My name is Heather McGruder and we have been homeschooling our 2 littles since 2020. I earned my baking and pastry certificate from the Art Institute in Minneapolis in 2011, after which I had the opportunity to intern and work at an amazing patisserie in Minneapolis. I have been baking since forever and running a cottage food licensed business since 2017. 
I love to be in the kitchen baking everything from drop cookies to breads to cakes and my specialty, decorated sugar cookies. I enjoy experimenting with recipes for us to enjoy at home – using less sugar, sugar alternatives, flour variations, making recipes healthier, allergy friendly, etc. I look forward to sharing my baking knowledge with the kids and hope to inspire their baking confidence in the kitchen. I believe the best part of baking is sharing with others!
